About Us

Who we are, where we come from, what we value, and where we're headed as a church family

Who we are

Here's the deal: We want to be a church where it can be said: They are all about Jesus. It's all about Jesus.  Sin is not safe there - but sinners are. We hope to see a church that is growing in the gospel and bringing the gospel to the community.

We all need Jesus. The most faithful church member needs Jesus.

And the biggest sinner we can think of needs Jesus. Mr. Morality, Mrs. Got-It-All-together, Uncle Falling Apart, and Cousin Hypocrite all need Jesus.

At Tower View, we aren't playing games about our need. We want to be an honest environment of sinners that are crying out for the living water, Jesus himself.

If you are looking for life, freedom, hope, forgiveness, redemption, and grace -- come to Jesus. We invite you join us on a Sunday.

Where we come from

Tower View was started in 1960 by a trio of families. Back then, this trio of families imagined a church that taught and lived out the Bible and was truly welcoming to everyone - where everyone had a seat at the table regardless of personal history, family background, ethnicity, or gender. Tower View hosted its first gathering in the fall of 1962 in the Maple Park neighborhood.

Where we're headed

What's the bottom line?

More than ever, Tower View is committed to fostering a family built around biblical truth and eternal hope that only comes from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Currently, we are focusing on "Tower View 2023: God's Plans, Our Response" - as we seek to become a healthy church that pleases God and reaches our neighborhood with the Gospel.

This includes:

--Changing our bylaws and leadership structure to accommodate current and future growth and needs;

--Revamping our church discipleship and evangelism strategies to reach for and grow Christians in Christ.

--In the fall 2023, starting the Barnabas Pastoral Bootcamp -- an 18-month cohort for young men training for seminary.

--Continue to make cosmetic improvements to our building.

--And much more!

And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ as we seek to glorify God in all we do.
