Today's Thoughts...
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
The Word is a mirror that reveals, a lamp that shines, a seed that germinates, a fire that burns, a sword that cuts, a river that cleanses. The Word of God is a sharp two-edged sword that convicts and converts, slays and makes alive, saves and damns. The word of God is a sharp sword, able to pierce the hardest heart and expose the deepest sin. The sharp two-edged sword of the word of God is without a dull book, blunt chapter, or even a flat verse. The word of God cuts through our shallow excuses like a sharp sword through melted butter. The Word of God is a sharp two-edged sword that cuts both ways, that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable.
Have you read, meditated, and pondered the Word of God today?

Today's Prayer...
Father, I thank you that your word is flawless. There is no error in it. Is the perfect Word of God for my soul and for my refuge. Thank you that it is my shield this day to take refuge against the flaming darts of the evil one. I rejoice that you are the one and only one that could make such a book. Thank you that its pages tell me of your great love and faithfulness and of the greatest need I have—salvation—met in your Son alone. Father, I praise you today for keeping watch over my soul through your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
